MORIGAON, India, May 11 (Xinhua) -- At the Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary in India's northeastern Assam state, a team of elephant carers, known as mahouts, cheered the elephants up by giving them baths in the river.
The elephants playfully squirted water as mahouts scrubbed out dirt and cleaned their skin, relishing the tender moments of intimate interaction.
Pobitora's elephant safari currently boasts a herd of around 15 elephants.
