BEIJING, April 17 (Xinhua) -- At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, President of the Gabonese Republic Ali Bongo Ondimba will pay a state visit to China from April 18 to 21.
Ali Bongo, 64, once served as minister of defense and on other posts in the government. He was elected president of the Gabonese Republic in 2009 and was reelected in 2016.
He is married and has four children. ■
