TANGERANG, BANDUNG, Indonesia, April 16 (Xinhua) -- As Eid al-Fitr or the festival of sweets is approaching, people have finally welcomed midnight sale programs in cities across Indonesia.
Midnight sales are popular in Indonesia, offering discounts ahead of holidays including Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan.
Indonesian Muslims have a tradition of serving cookies and candies, buying new clothes, and sharing small money with relatives during Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
