"Europe may undermine its own position with China at its own expense. That would be very foolish," said Mick Wallace, member of the European Parliament during an exclusive interview with Xinhua.
The U.S. wants to drive a wedge between China and Europe, Wallace said, adding that Europe should not "fight with China" and should seek a relationship that enhances the life of the Europeans and the Chinese.
