SANTIAGO, April 8 (Xinhua) -- A major Chilean wine producer has expressed optimism about its business in the Chinese market.
Concha y Toro, a 140-year-old winemaker, exports wine to around 130 countries, with sales in China alone rising 14.8 percent in 2022.
The company opened a commercial and distribution office in China's Shanghai in 2021.
China is the second-largest destination for Chilean wine, after Brazil, according to the Chilean Wine Institute.
Founded in 1883, Concha y Toro is the largest producer of wines in Latin America, with one of the world's largest areas of vineyards.
