KATHMANDU, April 6 (Xinhua) -- People from the Tamang community across Nepal flocked to the capital city Kathmandu on Wednesday to celebrate Temal Jatra at Boudhanath Stupa.
Smoke of burning incense billowed up in the air as thousands, who lined up the stupa's massive mandala, rotated prayer wheels and offered prayers, paying hommage to their loved ones who passed away.
With over 300 years of history, the Tamang festival of Temal Jatra usually falls in April and marks the arrival of rain.
