GUIYANG, April 5, 2023 (Xinhua) -- With the tea plantations covering an area of 600,000 mu (40,000 hectares), the tea planting in Meitan County, southwest China's Guizhou Province, has become the most important pillar industry in local rural economy. Tea farmers are busy picking tea leaves before the Qingming Festival, which falls on April 5 this year, the major harvest period for premium spring tea.
