HONGHE, March 28 (Xinhua) -- "Crossing the Bridge Rice Noodle Soup" is an iconic delicacy of southwest China's Yunnan Province.
1.43 tonnes of such noodles from Yunnan's Mengzi were recently exported to Canada, the first time the delicacy from Mengzi was exported overseas.
"Our company has been producing 'Crossing the Bridge Rice Noodle Soup' for more than 10 years. Recently, our market has gradually expanded from the domestic market to the international market. The Mengzi Customs has built an export channel for our products, which has strengthened our confidence in further expanding the international market. This year, the export volume of our rice noodles is expected to reach 12 tonnes," said Yang Yuanyuan, sales manager of a rice noodle company.
