TEHRAN, March 27 (Xinhua) -- Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, discussed in a phone call on Sunday the holding of a bilateral meeting in the coming days.

China, Saudi Arabia and Iran announced on March 10 that the latter two had reached a deal that includes the agreement to resume diplomatic relations and reopen embassies and missions within two months.

This was the second phone conversation between the Iranian and Saudi foreign ministers in a week, following the signing of the agreement between Tehran and Riyadh on the normalization of bilateral ties in Beijing, according to the Iranian Foreign Ministry's website.

The two foreign ministers also discussed the latest condition of the Tehran-Riyadh agreement and exchanged views on the holding of their bilateral meeting in the fasting month of Ramadhan, which will end in late April.

They also highlighted the "constructive path" on which the bilateral relations are moving.

Saudi Arabia cut diplomatic ties with Iran in early 2016 in response to the attacks on Saudi diplomatic missions in Iran after the kingdom executed a Shiite cleric.
