DHAKA, March 27 (Xinhua) -- A century-old Iftar market in Bangladesh's capital of Dhaka has turned into a bustling hub during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
Bangladeshis from different parts of the city have flocked to the makeshift stalls at the Chawkbazar market to buy varied delectable items for Iftar, or the evening meal when Muslims break their fast.
Ramadan starts on March 22 this year. Muslims practice fasting and refrain from eating, drinking, etc. from sunrise until sunset, and then they gather and feast at night.
