Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan has vowed to fight for women's empowerment and improve girls' education.

DAR ES SALAAM, March 21 (Xinhua) -- Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan on Sunday vowed to fight for women's empowerment and improve girls' education.

A statement by the Directorate of Presidential Communications said Hassan made the commitment when she addressed women at Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania's commercial hub, to mark two years of her administration.

According to the statement, Hassan pledged to continue addressing challenges faced by women in the country. The challenges include constructing science schools and vocational training centers for girls with a view to producing "tech women" that will fully participate in the digital economy.
