LIMA, March 7 (Xinhua) -- Midfielder Christian Cueva has returned to his former club Alianza Lima on a six-month loan from Saudi Arabia's Al Fateh, the Peruvian club said on Tuesday.
The Peru international began training on Tuesday after agreeing to personal terms of a deal that runs until August 31.
"Cueva is home. Welcome back, Christian," read a statement on Alianza Lima's social media pages.
Cueva, whose contract with Al Fateh is due to expire in June 2025, has not played since December.
The 31-year-old is expected to be available for Alianza's home league clash against Cusco on Saturday.
Capped 96 times for Peru's national team, Cueva made 31 appearances for Alianza and scored nine goals during his first spell at the club in 2014 and 2015. ■
