YANGON, March 8 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar exported more than 543,606 tons of green grams in nearly 11 months of the 2022-23 fiscal year beginning in April last year, the country's Ministry of Commerce said on Wednesday.
From April 1 last year to February 24 this year, the country earned over 389.69 million U.S. dollars from the exports of green grams, the ministry's figures showed.
The Southeast Asian country exports green grams to China, India and a number of European countries.
The country's total exports of beans and pulses including green grams during the period of nearly 11 months reached over 1.6 million tons, official data showed.
Beans and pulses are Myanmar's second-most cultivated crops after rice, accounting for 33 percent of the country's total agricultural production. ■
