JOMBANG, Indonesia, March 6 (Xinhua) -- The much-awaited annual durian feast was zealously celebrated at Wonosalam of Jombang district in Indonesia's East Java, as a local tradition for farmers after harvest.
Dipped in the hues of joy and fervor, the event culminated in a grand procession in which the rapturous crowds carried a mountain-shaped gunungan of fruits and vegetables arranged with elaborate decorations. A feast on the season's best Indonesian durians uplifted the spirits of enthusiasts with this spiky, pungent fruit.
