BEIJING, March 6 (Xinhua) -- The following are the schedules for the first session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) and the first session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on Tuesday.
-- On Tuesday morning, NPC deputies will hold group meetings to deliberate the draft amendment to the Legislation Law.
-- At 3 p.m., the NPC session will hold its second plenary meeting to hear the work report of the NPC Standing Committee, the work report of the Supreme People's Court, the work report of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, and an explanation of the plan on the reform of State Council institutions.
-- At 9 a.m., the CPPCC session will hold its second plenary meeting to hear an explanation of the draft amendment to the CPPCC charter. In the afternoon, members of the CPPCC National Committee will sit in on the second plenary meeting of the NPC session as non-voting participants.
-- At 10 a.m., Foreign Minister Qin Gang will meet the press. ■
