YANGON, March 3 (Xinhua) -- The Myanmar Football Federation have selected a total of 23 players for 2024 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-20 Women's Asian Cup qualification, U Ko Ko Thein, general secretary of the federation, told Xinhua on Thursday.
The federation made a preliminary selection of 30 women footballers in January and selected the final 23 players in February, he said.
The selected players will be trained in camps to compete in the Group G of the AFC U-20 Women's Asian Cup qualification, which will be held in Cambodia in March. Myanmar will play against Cambodia and Malaysia in Group G.
The first round of the qualification is scheduled to be played on March 4-12 and following the second round on June 3-11. ■
