NICOSIA, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) -- Cyprus presidential candidate Nicos Christodoulides is leading in the island country's presidential election following a runoff on Sunday, according to exit polls.

CyBC state television said that Christodoulides is projected to receive between 50.5 and 53.5 percent of votes.

His opponent Andreas Mavroyiannis is projected to receive between 46.5 and 49.5 percent. ■
