ALEPPO, Syria, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) -- Massive earthquakes have killed 364 people and wounded 702 others in Aleppo city in northern Syria, the media office at the Aleppo governorate headquarters told Xinhua.
Of the injured people, 92 are in critical conditions, while 610 others have mild symptoms, according to the office.
A total of 52 buildings have collapsed in the city, it added.
According to the figures released by the Syrian Health Ministry on Tuesday, 812 people were killed and 1,449 others injured in Hama, Aleppo, Latakia, Tartous provinces, and rebel-held area in Idlib province after Monday's powerful earthquakes struck the country.
Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights placed the number of casualties at 1,620. ■
