MEXICO CITY, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- Former France international striker Andre-Pierre Gignac has signed a 12-month contract extension with Mexican club Tigres UANL.
The 37-year-old will now be tied to the Liga MX outfit until June 30, 2025.
"I am writing to you with great news. Today I am happy to share that I am staying at Tigres until 2025," Gignac wrote on social media.
"The club, coaching staff, players and especially you [the fans] have given me the confidence to continue fighting every day with the colors of this great institution."
Gignac, who has 36 France caps, has scored 178 goals in 313 appearances across all competitions for Tigres following his 2015 move from Marseille. ■
