MADRID, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- The draw for the Copa del Rey knockout stage in Spain on Friday produced a Madrid derby and a fascinating tie between La Liga leaders FC Barcelona and third placed Real Sociedad.
Real Madrid's reward for coming back from 2-0 down to beat Villarreal 3-2 on Thursday night is a home tie against local rivals Atletico Madrid in the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
Barcelona, who on Thursday won 5-0 away to third tier Ceuta, will play Real Sociedad, who are currently third in the league table after winning their last eight games in all competitions.
Osasuna are at home to take on Sevilla, with the side from Pamplona playing at home in the Cup for the first time since September 2018.
The final tie is a repeat of last season's semifinal, with Valencia at home to host Athletic Club Bilbao, who will be keen to take sporting revenge for their 2-1 aggregate defeat a year ago. ■
