HONG KONG, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong's major stock indices closed higher Wednesday, with the benchmark Hang Seng Index up 0.47 percent to close at 21,678 points.

The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index gained 0.36 percent to end at 7,340.73 points, and the Hang Seng Tech Index rose 0.54 percent to close at 4,524.67 points. ■
