PHNOM PENH -- Cambodia and the Maldives on Monday signed six documents to promote bilateral ties and cooperation for mutual benefits, according to a joint communique.
The deals were signed by both officials in the Maldives witnessed by Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and visiting Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen, the joint communique said. (Maldives-Cambodia-Deals)

KUALA LUMPUR -- The Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) will make a comeback this year following a four-year hiatus, with the event being launched by government officials here on Monday.

KATHMANDU -- The rescue operation was halted on Monday evening as one more body and the black boxes were recovered earlier in the day at the crash site of a passenger plane in central Nepal, officials said.
"We have wrapped up the rescue operation for today," said Brig. Gen. Krishna Prasad Bhandari, spokesperson of the Nepal Army.

COLOMBO -- Sri Lanka will provide 10 kg of rice per month to 2 million low-income families for two months, the President's Media Division (PMD) said in a statement on Monday.
The plan aims to ensure the food security of low-income families, the statement said, adding that the government will purchase 61,600 metric tons of paddy through district secretaries and divisional secretaries with support from small-and-medium-scale paddy owners. SYDNEY -- The Australian state of Queensland's central and northern regions are facing days of severe weather emergency, with some primary transport corridors being cut off at tourist spots.
Australia's Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) warned on Monday that locally intense rainfall which may lead to dangerous and life-threatening flash flooding is possible over parts of the central Queensland coast and the northeast tourist attraction Whitsundays, where the Great Barrier Reef's famed Heart Reef is located.
