JAKARTA, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- The Glodok Chinatown of Jakarta, Indonesia welcomes the Chinese Lunar New Year of the Rabbit with festive adornments and cultural and entertainment events.

Decorations featuring auspicious festive vibes, including traditional red lanterns, spring couplets, Chinese knots, peach blossoms and lion dance, are seen filled the Glodok Chinatown, attracting people to buy New Year's goods and new clothes while enjoying the joyous atmosphere.

The Chinese Lunar New Year, which falls on Jan. 22 this year, is the most important occasion for the Chinese to celebrate family reunions and anticipate blessings for the lunar new year.
