KATHMANDU -- The search and rescue operation was halted for four people still unaccounted for after a local passenger plane crashed on Sunday in central Nepal, officials said.
The operation involving soldiers and police officers was called off as night fell, said Brig. Gen. Krishna Prasad Bhandari, Nepal Army's spokesperson. On Sunday 68 dead bodies were recovered from the crash site in the Seti River gorge in Kaski district. (Nepal-Plane Crash)

SEOUL -- At least one person was killed and 24 others injured, including three in critical condition, in a South Korean car pileup that occurred on Sunday night at an expressway in the metropolitan area, according to Yonhap news agency.

VIENTIANE -- A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Saturday for the upgrading and renovation project of Luang Prabang hospital aided by China in the north of Laos.

GUANGZHOU/HONG KONG -- The high-speed railway connecting the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Chinese mainland resumed operation Sunday after nearly three years of service suspension.
