HANOI/JAKARTA, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- As the Lunar New Year of the Rabbit approaches, Jakarta's Chinatown is decorated with a variety of new year decorations, lanterns, pagodas, Chinese Zodiac animals... which create a festive atmosphere for visitors.

In Vietnam's capital Hanoi, the annual Spring Calligraphy Festival was held on Sunday following two years of hiatus due to COVID-19. It is a local tradition to have calligraphic works written on red paper for display during the Lunar New Year as a way to pray for good things to come in the new year.
