BERLIN, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- Germany notched three of six available gold medals at the three-day IBSF World Cup in Altenberg that ended on Sunday, while Britain followed to take two titles.

In the women's skeleton, Tina Hermann of Germany took the lead to finish two runs in one minute and 56.23 seconds and won by more than 1.04 seconds over her compatriot Susanne Kreher. And the title marked Hermann's second victory of the season and the 15th win of her career.

Germany was also dominant in the 2-man bobsleigh, as Olympic silver medallist Georg Fleischhauer set the best times at the start and in the track in both runs. The duo of Fleischhauer and Johannes Lochner were finally 0.43 seconds ahead of Hall and Taylor Lawrence from Britain. Francesco Friedrich, two-time Olympic and seven-time world champion in 2-man bobsleigh, took the bronze medals with Alexander Schueller.

The Germans celebrated another podium in the 2-woman bobsleigh, with Lisa Buckwitz and Kira Lipperheide winning in one minute and 53.17 seconds, just 0.12 seconds ahead of fellow Germans Kim Kalicki and Leonie Fiebig.

In the men's skeleton, British athlete Matt Weston won the gold in one minute and 52.44 seconds, while Chen Wenhao of China set his personal record with 1:53.25 to finish fifth.

Weston's teammate Brad Hall celebrated his second 4-man bobsleigh win in his career. Together with Arran Gulliver, Taylor Lawrence and Greg Cackett as the push team, Hall, who finished sixth at Beijing 2022, won by a narrow margin of 0.09 seconds to relegate Germany to second place.

The women's monobob gold went to the Olympic and world champion Kaillie Humphries of the United States, while China's Ying Qing crossed the line 1.38 seconds behind to rank sixth.
