KUALA LUMPUR, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- To usher in the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year, the year of the Rabbit, Malaysia's iconic Thean Hou Temple in Kuala Lumpur lights up some 6,000 red lanterns every night from Friday.
Flocks of visitors take photos as the stunning glow of the lanterns glitter up against the grand architecture that boasts traditional Chinese style.
Built by Kuala Lumpur's Hainanese community in 1987, the six-tiered Thean Hou Temple is dedicated to the Goddess of Heaven and has been a key venue for the Chinese Malaysians to embrace Chinese culture.
