KUALA LUMPUR, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- Syndy Tan Sing Yit, a seasoned Malaysian balloon stylist, creates lion dance balloon sculptures by referring to lion dance graphics and pictures.
It takes more than 500 balloons to make a lion dance balloon, Tan stated, adding that the adjustment of the color of the eyes and the proportion of lips and the chin is vital for highlighting the charm of the lion.
The lion dance has long been a celebratory performance during traditional festivals to bring good fortune. The refined lion dance balloon sculptures made by Tan, which often fittingly serve as decorations in big occasions and festivities, give a convivial and auspicious atmosphere with a taste of tradition.
