HARBIN, Jan. 6 (Xinhua) --The 24th Harbin Ice and Snow World opened recently, welcoming tourists all over the world. It's a world-leading theme park of large-scale ice and snow sculptures.
This year, the park spans over 810,000 square meters. More than 150,000 cubic meters of ice and snow have been used to build over 100 ice and snow installations.
The main tower measures 43 meters high, roughly height of a 15-story building, with officials saying it was the most challenging to design and build.
The biggest highlight of the Ice and Snow World is the 120-meter-high sky wheel. It's in the shape of a snowflake. In its cabin, visitors can have a unique experience in a dazzling world after dark.
Another highlight of the park is the 500-meter ice slide, the longest one built at the park to date. When sliding from it, visitors will pick up speed and have a more exciting time.
The park has arranged ice and snow entertainment items all in one place, such as snow circle drifting, ice bumper cars, and banana boats. From thrilling to family-friendly, you will eventually find an activity here to meet your needs.
Harbin is famous for its rich ice and snow resources. This winter, the city opened 3 ice and snow-themed parks, launched 12 ice and snow experience products, and created over 100 related activities to promote winter tourism, culture, fashion and sports.
