BEIJING, Jan. 2 (Xinhua) -- At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, President of the Republic of the Philippines Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos will pay a state visit to China from Tuesday to Thursday.
Marcos, 65, started his political career in 1980s and served as governor of Ilocos Norte province, a member of the House of Representatives and a senator.
He was elected as president of the Philippines in May, 2022 and was officially sworn in in June. ■
