SANAA, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- Yemen's Houthi militia said the Saudi-led coalition launched six drone strikes on the Yemeni Red Sea port city of Hodeidah in the past 24 hours, Houthi-run al-Masirah TV reported on Tuesday.

The militia said the attacks on the southern districts were among "123 coalition breaches of the truce in the city in a single day."

There were no confirmations yet from the coalition or the Yemeni government.

Hodeidah has witnessed a shaky cease-fire between the Yemeni government forces backed by the Saudi-led coalition and the Houthi militia since they reached a UN-sponsored truce in Stockholm in December 2018.

The port city in the northwestern part of Yemen is controlled by the Houthi group, while the government forces have advanced to its southern districts.

Yemen has been mired in a civil war since late 2014 when the Iran-backed Houthi militia stormed several northern cities and forced the Saudi-backed Yemeni government out of the capital Sanaa.

The Saudi-led coalition intervened in the Yemeni conflict in 2015 to support the internationally recognized government.
