The inaugural flight departed from Siem Reap International Airport and landed at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi on Thursday with 68 passengers on board.
PHNOM PENH, Dec. 24 (Xinhua) -- National flag carrier Cambodia Angkor Air (CAAir) successfully launched the first flight linking Cambodia's Siem Reap and Vietnam's Hanoi, according to its press statement on Friday.
The inaugural flight departed from Siem Reap International Airport and landed at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi on Thursday, carrying 68 passengers, the statement said, adding that the Airbus A320 plane returned to Siem Reap on the same day with 81 passengers.

Located in northwestern Cambodia, Siem Reap province is home to the famed Angkor Archaeological Park, the kingdom's most popular tourist destination.
"Initially, Cambodia Angkor Air will conduct 3 flights per week by Airbus A320 on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday," the statement said.
"Moreover, for the routes to Vietnam, there are also our continuing routes between Siem Reap and Ho Chi Minh with 2 flights daily, between Siem Reap and Danang with 1 flight daily, between Phnom Penh and Hanoi with 3 flights per week, between Phnom Penh and Ho Chi Minh with 2 flights daily, and between Sihanoukville and Ho Chi Minh with 1 flight daily," it added.■
