HAIKOU, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- George Meicho Fu is a 72-year-old Chinese-Japanese businessman, who was born in Wenchang, a city in Hainan Province of southern China. He had lived and worked in Japan for more than 40 years, and returned to Hainan in 2019 to pursue new career opportunities.
In recent years, Fu has been commuting back and forth between Hainan and Japan. In addition to his work, Fu has also made efforts to give back to his community by helping rebuild a primary school in his hometown and establishing scholarships for underprivileged students.
In the future, Fu hopes to facilitate exchanges between Japan and China by introducing more Japanese companies to Hainan.
