KABUL, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- Afghan security forces have stormed a hideout of the Islamic State (IS) outfit in Afghanistan, killing three insurgents and arresting another, chief spokesman of the Taliban-run caretaker administration Zabihullah Mujahid said on Thursday.
"The operation was carried out by units of special forces of Islamic Emirate late on Wednesday and as a result three insurgents were killed and another arrested," Mujahid said on his twitter account.
Without identifying the exact place of the operation, the official said that security forces also discovered and seized a quantity of arms and ammunition including three pieces of AK-47, mines, explosive devices and hand grenades during the operation. ■
