HANOI, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam recorded 333 new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases on Friday, according to the country's Ministry of Health.
The new infections brought the total tally to 11,522,431. The Southeast Asian country reported no new deaths from the pandemic on Friday, with the total fatalities staying at 43,179.
As of Friday, 48 severe cases were in need of assisted breathing and 10,610,122 COVID-19 patients, or over 92 percent of the total infections, have recovered, according to the ministry. ■
