XI'AN, China, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- Shandong Luneng won over Guangzhou FC 4-2 in the 31st round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Thursday, keeping its hopes of defending the title alive with three rounds remaining on the schedule.

The second-placed Shandong is now three points adrift of leader Wuhan Three Towns but has a game in hand.

Moises Lima Magalhaes brought the defending champion an early lead in the third minute, but Wei Shihao leveled up ten minutes later through a penalty kick.

In the 30th minute, Yang Liyu scored for Guangzhou FC, but Moises then converted a penalty with a powerful shot to the corner.

Shandong restored its lead when Marouane Fellaini collected Moises's pass before netting in the 58th minute. Four minutes later, Jin Jingdao sealed the thrilling victory for Shandong with a penalty kick.

Elsewhere, Shanghai Port defeated Meizhou Hakka 1-0, Beijing Guoan smashed Changchun Yatai 3-0, Cangzhou Mighty Lions tied Henan Songshan Longmen 1-1, Zhejiang held an 1-1 draw with Chengdu Rongcheng, and Hebei FC pocketed its second CSL victory of the season after edging Shenzhen FC 2-0.
