BEIJING, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- Here are the latest Chinese sports headlines over the past week:

1. IOC Coordination Commission for Beijing 2022 publishes final report

The final report of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Coordination Commission for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics was published on December 7, which detailed the achievements and learnings from hosting a safe and successful Games.

IOC president Thomas Bach said: "The success, the great hospitality of China and the Chinese people, the efficiency of the organizing committee at this truly exceptional Games will remain with us forever."


2. Nine inductees confirmed for the 2022 China Basketball Hall of Fame

Nine inductees across three categories were confirmed for the 2022 China Basketball Hall of Fame.

Mu Tiezhu, Hu Weidong, Liu Yudong and Wang Zhizhi, all formerly the backbone of China's national team between the 1970s and 2010s, are China Basketball Hall of Famers in the male players' category.

Zheng Haixia, who became the first Chinese player to be inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame in April 2021, leads the female players' list, which also includes Song Xiaobo and Cong Xuedi.

Jiang Xingquan and Xu Limin are selected into the China Basketball Hall of Fame as coaches.

China's Chen Yufei was eliminated from the BWF World Tour Finals after losing to world No. 1 Akane Yamaguchi 21-19, 21-10 in the women's singles semifinals.

The Olympic champion, who suffered a surprising 2-1 loss to Indonesia's Gregoria Mariska Tunjung in her opening match, swept Yamaguchi and South Korea's An Se-young - the top two women's singles players - to advance to the semis.


4. Kunshan beats Zibo to win China's second-tier football league title

Kunshan FC beat Zibo Cuju 1-0 in the last round of 2022 China League One, winning China's second-tier league title only two years after joining.

Kunshan, who had already secured promotion to the Chinese Super League (CSL) in November, put a perfect end to its incredible 2022 season campaign in the 87th minute when Hildeberto Pereira netted the winner.

Throughout the season, Kunshan has suffered only one defeat in 34 games, collecting 89 points from 28 wins and five draws.


5. Chinese Ning claims men's 1500m silver at speed skating World Cup

Ning Zhongyan of China won the silver medal in the men's 1,500 meters in the speed skating World Cup in Calgary on Friday.

Ning clocked one minute and 42.957 seconds, only 0.027 seconds behind Wesly Dijs of the Netherlands, for his third podium finish of this season. He had collected a gold in the men's 1,000m in Heerenveen and a bronze in the men's 1,500m in Stavanger.
