SANMING, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- The 2022 Shaxian Delicacies Tourism and Culture Festival kicked off on Thursday in Shaxian District, Sanming City in China's Fujian.
The festival offers a variety of Shaxian Delicacies, including peanut butter noodles, tofu balls and pork wontons, attracting a large number of customers.
Established in 1997, the annual festival provides a platform to showcase Shaxian Delicacies and an opportunity for food makers to communicate and exhibit new snacks.
Known for their flavors and affordable prices, Shaxian Delicacies have gained popularity not only in China, but also in foreign countries, such as the United States, Japan and South Korea.
Shaxian Delicacies are now a food chain with around 88,000 storefronts across China with more than 300,000 employees, generating a yearly turnover of 50 billion yuan (7.2 billion U.S. dollars).
