An economist from the Barcelona-based IESE Business School said the Spanish economy is expected to grow by less than 2% in 2023, but there is no fear of a recession.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) in November also ruled out the risk of falling into recession for Spain in the next year and predicted a growth rate of 1.2%.
Acknowledging the complex global challenges, Diaz-Gimenez said economies need time to deal with problems and embrace recovery.
