BEIJING, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Hu Chunhua on Friday co-chaired the 26th session of the committee for regular meetings between Chinese and Russian heads of government, together with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko via video link.
Hu said that the committee and its sub-committees have actively implemented the consensus reached by the two heads of state, pushed the bilateral trade volume to a record high, and achieved remarkable results in cooperation on strategic major projects. They have also continued to deepen cooperation in the fields of finance, customs, science and technology, making full preparations for the 27th regular meeting to be held between the two premiers.
China is willing to make joint efforts with Russia to give full play to the role of the meeting committee mechanism, further deepen cooperation in both traditional and emerging areas, consolidate the good momentum of trade and investment cooperation, and make greater contributions to the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era, Hu said.
For his part, Chernyshenko said that Russia-China cooperation in various fields has seen a sound development momentum. Russia is willing to make joint efforts with China to push forward bilateral cooperation and make new contributions to the development of Russia-China relations. ■
