GENEVA, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) announced the hosts of the U17 and U19 World Cups between 2024 and 2027 after a Central Board meeting on Wednesday.
Türkiye will host the men's U17 World Cup in 2024 and 2026, while Mexico will host the women's U17 in 2024.
Switzerland will stage the men's U19 in 2025, while the Czech Republic is the host of three tournaments, namely the women's U19 in 2025, women's U17 in 2026 and men's U19 in 2027.
FIBA introduced the multi-year hosting model in 2019 to enable National Federations to host consecutive Youth World Cups.
The FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup 2023 will take place in Madrid, Spain, from July 15-23, while the men's U19 World Cup in 2023 will be held in Debrecen, Hungary, from June 24 to July 2. ■
