JERUSALEM, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- An Israeli died of his injuries in hospital three days after being wounded in a double blast attack in Jerusalem, the hospital said on Sunday.

Tadesse Teshome Ben Madeh, 50, died on Saturday in the Sha'are Zedek Medical Center, read the statement from the hospital.

Prime Minister Yair Lapid offered his condolences to his family and friends on Twitter, saying "the heart is broken by grief." He said Ben Madeh had a wife and six children.

His death brought to two the number of fatalities in the blasts, which the Israeli police said were a "Palestinian attack."

Two blasts shook Jerusalem on Thursday, killing an Israeli-Canadian 15-year-old boy and injuring at least 17 others.

No group has claimed responsibility for the explosions yet.

The incidents came amid nearly daily overnight raids by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank, which sparked frequent clashes that cost the lives of at least 130 Palestinians. Israel says the raids are aimed at arresting suspects of involvement in a series of attacks against Israelis, which claimed the lives of 29 people.

In the 1967 Middle East war, Israel occupied the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem, all claimed by the Palestinians, and has controlled or blockaded these areas ever since.
