BEIJING, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- China's transport authorities recently summoned on-demand delivery services provider Lalamove for talks over operational irregularities, and issued a warning to other industry players in an effort to safeguard the sector's sound development.
Lalamove, known as Huolala in Chinese, was summoned by the office of the inter-ministerial joint meeting on the coordinated supervision of new forms of transportation, according to sources at the Ministry of Transport.
During the talks, the company was ordered to immediately rectify its malicious price-cutting, set reasonable charging standards, and eliminate illegal operations to maintain fair competition.
A thorough in-house overhaul of its issues must be made and effective measures should be taken to protect the legitimate rights and interests of its drivers.
The office also cautioned other online cargo services firms, including Full Truck Alliance, Didi Freight, and GOGOX Holdings, ordering them to rectify their own problems to safeguard the healthy development of the sector.
Lalamove said it would seriously implement the orders, optimize its operating rules and technical solutions as soon as possible, prevent malicious price-cutting, and streamline communication and complaint reporting channels for truck drivers so as to resolve issues in a timely manner.
The other platform firms said they would standardize their operations and make concrete efforts to promote the industry's sound development. ■
