NEW DELHI, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) -- India reported 556 new COVID-19 cases during the past 24 hours, official data showed on Saturday.
The daily caseload was down from 654 cases tallied one day earlier, according to federal health ministry data released on Saturday morning.
Now active caseload stands at 6,782, the data showed.
The country also logged 17 related deaths during the past 24 hours, pushing the overall death toll to 530,570 since the beginning of the pandemic, the ministry said.
So far, 44,131,171 people have been successfully cured and discharged from hospitals. ■
