AMMAN, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- Jordan and Sweden on Tuesday discussed means to boost bilateral ties in various areas and the Middle East developments during the visit of the Swedish king, according to a statement by the Jordanian royal court.
During the talks, King Abdullah II of Jordan and King of Sweden Carl XVI Gustaf, who is visiting along with his Queen Silvia, both expressed keenness to boost ties and coordination between the two countries on various issues of mutual concern.
The Jordanian king highlighted the importance of cooperation in the environment, expressing appreciation for Sweden's support for the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East and countries that host Palestinian refugees.
The Swedish king also voiced keenness to enhance ties with Jordan. ■
