MANILA, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) -- The Philippines reported 1,227 new COVID-19 infections on Friday, pushing the number of confirmed cases in the Southeast Asian country to 4,015,266.
The country's Department of Health (DOH) said the number of active cases rose to 17,188, while 26 more patients died from COVID-19 complications, pushing the country's death toll to 64,355.
Metro Manila, the capital region with over 13 million people, tallied 277 new cases. ■
