JAKARTA, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia on Thursday launched an electronic Visa on Arrival service to make it easier for international travelers to enter the country.

So far the service is open for travelers from 46 countries and regions, and will open for more, said Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan at a press conference in Bali.

Foreigners only need to register their visa application 90 days before departure on the website molina.imigration.go.id, make a payment of 500,000 rupiahs (about 31.8 U.S. dollars) via debit or credit card, and download the application.

The visa is valid for 30 days and can be extended for another 30 days.

The trial run of the application was carried out from Nov. 4 to 9 at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta.
