ISLAMABAD, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan recorded 48 new COVID-19 cases over the last 24 hours, the country's ministry of health said on Monday.
The overall tally of infected people climbed to 1,574,407 across the country after adding the fresh cases, according to data released by the ministry.
A total of 30,627 people died of COVID-19 in Pakistan, with no more deaths reported on Sunday, according to the ministry's data.
On Sunday, 4,686 tests for COVID-19 were conducted throughout Pakistan, and the positivity rate stood at 1.02 percent.
Currently there are 49 patients who are in critical condition in the South Asian country. ■
