BUENOS AIRES, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- Colombia international defender Frank Fabra has signed a new long-term agreement with Boca Juniors, the Argentine club said on Saturday.
The 31-year-old, whose contract had been due to expire at the end of next year, will now be tied to Boca until December 2025, the Buenos Aires giants said in a brief statement on social media.
Fabra has made 186 appearances across all competitions for Boca since joining the club from Independiente Medellin in 2016. He is currently the longest-serving player in Boca's squad.
The announcement came less than two weeks after Fabra helped Boca to their 35th Argentine Primera Division title.
Fabra is one of two Colombians in Boca's first-team squad, alongside 26-year-old forward Sebastian Villa. ■
