ISLAMABAD, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan recorded 40 new COVID-19 cases, the Ministry of Health said on Friday.
The overall tally of infected people climbed to 1,574,275 across the South Asian country after adding the fresh cases, according to data released by the ministry.
A total of 30,627 people died of COVID-19 in Pakistan, with no more deaths reported on Thursday, according to the ministry's statistics.
On Thursday, 11,693 tests were conducted throughout Pakistan, and the positivity rate stood at 0.34 percent.
There are 61 patients who are in critical condition in the country. ■
